About us

NPDL offers liner shipping and supply chain services to and from 16 countries and 22 ports in the south pacific, including Fiji (Suva and Lautoka), Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga (Nuku’alofa and Vava’u), Tahiti, the Cook Islands (Rarotonga & Aitutaki), Norfolk, Kiribati (Tarawa and Kiribati), Tuvalu, Wallis & Futuna, Solomon Islands and Majuro. We provide weekly services between Asia and the Pacific Island with cargo relaying through New Zealand. NPDL was formed in 2020, when Neptune Pacific Line acquired Pacific Direct Line (PDL), bringing together two of the South Pacific’s top shipping and logistics companies to support the full supply chain of our customers in the region.

The combination of Neptune and PDL creates a broad suite of supply chain services to customers, expanding on our legacies of being at the cutting edge of maritime transport technology and to provide more comprehensive logistics options at sea, on land, and in the air.

Our operations include shipping, shipping agencies, cruise agencies, stevedoring (port operations), transport and customs clearance, container repair, container sales, container depot operations, fumigation, airfreight, fuel brokerage, warehousing, and waste removal. We are constantly developing additional businesses to promote vertical integration across the supply chain.

We have a dedicated fleet of vessels, operating the most extensive shipping network in the South Pacific, supported by onshore logistics assets and dedicated agency staff.

Our History

Founded in 1997, Neptune Pacific Line became part of The Wonderful Company (TWC) in 2007. TWC is a US$4.6 billion international company headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. Its other companies include FIJI Water, Justin and Landmark Vineyards, Vintage Nurseries, Wonderful Citrus, Wonderful Pistachios, Teleflora, POM Wonderful and Suterra.

In 2014, Neptune Pacific Line acquired 50% controlling interest in Pacific Forum Line (Joint Venture with Samoan government) and Polynesian Shipping Line to extend its shipping network.

In 2020, Neptune Pacific Line acquired its largest regional competitor, Pacific Direct Line to become an end-to-end logistics solution provider to customers throughout the South Pacific.

In 2021, Neptune Pacific Line and Pacific Direct Line have become NPDL, bringing together two of the South Pacific’s top shipping and logistics companies.

Today’s NPDL

NPDL owns Transam Agencies throughout the Pacific, ensuring consistent standards and service levels across the region.

Our fleet of vessels are constantly upgrading including vessels purpose built for this unique region. This allows us to select our vessels to cater for the influx of transshipment containers from around the world to and from the South Pacific, as well as catering for the diverse inter-regional cargoes.

NPDL owns some unique standalone businesses that support our service offering, including Pacific Bulk Fuel, Container Repair and Sales, Pacific Island Freight Station and Asean Pacific Logistics.
