Neptune Pacific Announces a Heavy Lift Voyage for Norfolk Island

11 May 2026

Neptune Pacific is excited to announce that its Norfolk vessel will be operating a Heavy Lift Voyage to Norfolk Island from Brisbane in late July 2026.

Assisted by a specialised crane with a maximum lift of 18.5 tonnes, the voyage will import freight
from Brisbane to Norfolk Island, while also supporting the waste export requirements of the Norfolk
Island Regional Council (NIRC).

Adrian Butler, Neptune Pacific General Manager of Group Sales and Australian Country Manager,
says that the Heavy Lift Voyage capabilities will contribute greatly to local community resilience.

“This voyage means our Norfolk Island customers will benefit from being able to import heavier than
usual cargo, including heavy machinery for crucial infrastructure projects and valuable fire training
equipment.

“We remain committed to ensuring reliable supply chains and connectivity for the island, proven by
the success and sea freight stability that our Norfolk vessel has achieved so far” says Mr. Butler.

The Norfolk vessel will begin loading for the Heavy Lift Voyage in Brisbane on 23 July, with an
estimated Norfolk Island arrival date of 05 August for unloading. The Norfolk will then return to
Brisbane in August to resume its standard service.

Heavy Lift Voyage bookings are open to customers from 11 May until 19 June, or until the import
limit is reached.

“We’re eager to see how this additional service will be received by the community, so please get in
touch and take advantage of this opportunity,” says Mr. Butler.

Please note that this schedule may be adjusted due to weather conditions and other minor changes.
